President Donald Trump appeared to flirt with a female reporter during a call with the Irish Prime Minster Leo Varadkar Tuesday.
“She has a nice smile on her face. So I bet she treats you well,” Trump reportedly said to Varadkar about Caitriona Perry, the Washington correspondent for Irish state broadcaster Raidio Teilifis Eireann (RTE), according to The Hill.
“We have a lot of your Irish press watching us,” Trump said of the reporters in the Oval Office during the call.
“And where are you from?” Trump said turning to Perry before the call according to a video posted by RTE. “Go ahead, come here, come here. Where are you from? We have all of this beautiful Irish press.”
Trump was calling Varadkar to congratulate him on the “great victory” in the recent election.
Perry has taken the comment in stride and has tweeted a “thanks” to a fellow reporter who captured the moment.
