Guru, the Brong Ahafo “nkoranza” Nana Yaw Adjei Yeboah Maradona, Ghana’s rap lord has finally broken his silence on the current state of the economy.
Just this month, we have had as many as four entertainers pronouncing their support (we prefer stance) on a political party to win the December 2016 Election in Ghana. We have seen the likes of John Dumelo, Tracy Boakye and the controversial MzBel throwing in their support for John Mahama to win the December Election. We have also seen rapper D-Black holding talks with Nana Akuffo – Adddo, Presidential candidate for NPP political party.
Whilst these named so-called stars have made it clear that the current government has ruled the country very well, the NKZ rap lord doesn’t agree so.
The rapper over the weekend released a song titled “My Take”. Lyrics to the song suggest that the Ghanaian rapper thinks the current government has not lived to the expectation of its citizens.
Guru sung emphatically in the Tubani produced single that the International Monetary Fund is not willing to lend money to Ghana again due ineffective and efficient management of such funds allotted to them.
“If you don’t solve your issues at home, Mr. President, this year you will lose” the Kasebo hitmaker advised the president
Finally advising the leaders, Guru stated – “You don’t think outside the box. The land does not have a problem; the leaders have made the nation hot. Africa is blessed but our leaders have made the country dull”
