Chale Wote Street Art Festival 2016, Accra – which climaxed on Sunday was a memorable event not to miss. All class and manner of people – Ghanaians, Nigerians, New Yorkers, Londoners and all nationality, particularly residents in the Capital City – Accra trooped to the grounds to have fun.
The yearly festival, which is organized by Accra Dot Alt, embraces street painting, graffiti, photography, interactive art installations, poetry, walking tours, dance, film shows, fashion parades, live music performances, workshops and basically everything under the art umbrella.
Theannual event which spans one whole week saw industry players, including celebrities, artist, musicians, activist, tourists, blog writers, students, designers and at large, dwellers in and out of Accra gracing the festival. The highlight of the event usually starts climaxing on Saturday to Sunday.
‘Spirit Robot’ – the 2016 edition started on Monday, 15 August with the Open Gallery, which was a collaboration of six galleries and exhibitions in Accra.
